10-10-2026

We invite you to come to the first (pilot) edition of Nexus Sketch Night.

A Multi-disciplinary event series in which we want to give space to share and experience art-in-progress.

You can expect new songs, theater, performance, poetry and conversations at a cosy fire.

Program

At Sketch Night, artists share works in progress. Finding ways for the audience and fellow artists to experience and contribute to the creative process is an essential part of the event.

We believe the value of art lies not only in its completion, but in the connections made throughout its development. After every sharing there is time and space to find these connections, through conversation, drawing, writing or other forms still to discover.

Tickets at the door: €10,- (no cash please)

There will be soup, bread and drinks.

Rachel Schuit & Robbi Meertens - Bellenspel

‘Bellenspel’ is Robbi and Rachel’s first musical journey of discovery, on their way towards a new performance for the very youngest (ages 2+).

The bell calls, warns, celebrates, chimes, rings, and has been bringing us together for centuries. From a baby’s rattle to a church bell, what worlds open up when we give the bell our attention?

For singer-songwriter Lizet Aviva, her fountain pen diary is her creative well from which songs emerge.

But not every idea becomes a song.

During Sketch Night she’ll open up her diary and share her creative process. Not only the output, but also the input will take center stage.

Karlijn wonders how collective rituals can give a sense of connection in cities that are becoming increasingly individualistic. What brings us together?

Karlijn has started to design rituals for city dwellers and is currently focusing on the new neighbourhood of Weespersluis, just around the corner from Nexus. How will these new residents make themselves at home in their neighbourhood? And what role will they have for the community around them?

For the first Sketch Night, she is practising a first welcoming ceremony.

Karlijn Hamer - Stadsrituelen

Welcome to CHEAP HEALING: an emotional hyper-pop performance set at a middle school party, in which Timon looks back on his boyhood from a retrospective perspective.

This exploration will be shared with an audience for the first time during Sketch Night.
